Questions worth asking any provider

Use these on us, and on whoever else you are talking to. If a provider gets vague on any of them, that is your answer.

  1. Who exactly would be supporting me, and can I meet them before we start?
  2. What happens when my regular worker is sick or on leave?
  3. How much notice do you need to change or cancel a shift, and what does that cost me?
  4. What did your last NDIS audit find?
  5. How do you handle a complaint, and who hears it?
  6. What is your worker turnover like?
  7. Are there services you do not provide, that I would need someone else for?

What we do

What we actually do, in plain terms. If what you need is not here, we will say so and point you somewhere better.

Daily living

  • Personal care and hygiene support
  • Household tasks, meals and domestic help
  • Mobility support around the home
  • Medication reminders and routine support

Community and transport

  • Getting to appointments, work or study
  • Shopping, errands and social outings
  • Support to take part in local activities

Building capacity

  • Developing life skills and household independence
  • Support through life stage transitions
  • Working to the goals set out in your plan

What we do not do

  • Plan management. We can explain how self-managed, plan-managed and NDIA-managed differ, but we do not manage plans ourselves.
  • Emergency or crisis accommodation.

We would rather tell you now than three weeks in.

Two workers, both of whom you have met

Continuity is the thing that actually breaks in this sector, so it is the thing we build around. You meet your workers before they start, and your backup is someone you already know — not whoever the roster produced that morning.

On registration, honestly

Registration means we are audited against the NDIS Practice Standards, and that NDIA-managed plans can use us. Self-managed and plan-managed participants can use unregistered providers too — so registration is a floor, not a recommendation. Ask every provider you are considering what their last audit found.

Where we are

Our office is in Narre Warren, about ten minutes from Berwick.

How it works

  1. 1

    Book a callback

Choose a time. Step one asks nothing personal.

  2. 2

    A straight conversation

We call you back, talk through what you need, and tell you plainly whether we are the right fit. No obligation either way.

  3. 3

    Meet your workers

Before any support starts, so nobody is a stranger on day one.

What we do with your information

We use it to assess whether we can help, and for nothing else. It is not sold, and it does not leave SESI without your say-so.

Straight answers

Do you have capacity right now?

Yes. As at August 2026 we have capacity across Melbourne’s south-east, Berwick included, and we can usually start without a long wait. Ring 1800 017 374 and we will confirm against your actual days and supports before you commit to anything.

I am already with a provider. Is switching a hassle?

Less than people expect. You can use more than one provider at once, so you do not have to end anything before you try us. Give your current provider whatever notice your service agreement requires — check that first, because notice periods vary.

Self-managed, plan-managed or NDIA-managed — does it matter to you?

We work with all three. It changes the invoicing, not the support. Self-managed and plan-managed participants can also use unregistered providers, which widens your options beyond us — worth knowing when you compare.

What do you charge?

We bill within the NDIS Price Guide, which caps what any provider can charge for a given support. So the price is largely not the variable between providers — the reliability is. Ask us for the specific line items for your supports and we will send them.

Are you a registered NDIS provider?

Yes — provider number 4050144347. That means we are audited against the NDIS Practice Standards and can take NDIA-managed plans.

Can we talk to you before committing to anything?

That is the point of the callback. No obligation, and we would rather tell you we are not the right fit than take on supports we cannot staff properly.
