📌 What Is Changing?

From 10 November 2025, the NDIS is introducing a new way of confirming your relationship with support providers, called a “my provider” relationship.

This update applies to participants who use:

  • Support Coordinators

  • Psychosocial Recovery Coaches

  • Other registered NDIS providers

This change is an NDIS recommendation — not something SESI Care is enforcing — and it is aimed at improving participant protection, transparency, and preventing misuse of NDIS funds.

Why Is This Change Being Introduced?

Previously, providers could show they were working with you simply by uploading a signed Service Agreement to the NDIS.
But there were problems with this system:

  • Some providers misused old or expired Service Agreements to keep claiming from participant plans.

  • Participants had no way to revoke or stop a provider once a Service Agreement was uploaded.

  • This made the system vulnerable to fraud and unauthorised claims.

To fix this, the NDIS is giving participants more control.

What Is the New “My Provider” Setup?

The NDIS now asks participants to confirm their trusted providers directly in the PACE system.

This is called a “my provider” relationship, and it simply:
✔ Confirms which provider you trust
✔ Allows that provider to make claims on your plan
✔ Gives you visibility and control at all times

You are always free to change or remove a provider later.

🌟 How This Benefits You

✅ 1. Better Oversight and Transparency

  • You can clearly see which providers are linked to your plan

  • You may receive notifications when a provider makes a claim

  • Helps protect your funding from unauthorised or incorrect use

✅ 2. Smoother, No-Fuss Support

  • Claims are less likely to be delayed or held for review

  • Your services continue without payment interruptions

  • Less back-and-forth between you, NDIS and providers

✅ 3. Quick, One-Time Setup

  • You only need to approve each provider once

  • SESI Care can assist you to contact NDIS if you need help

  • If you have a guardian or nominee, they may approve it on your behalf

📝 What Do Participants Need to Do?

  • If you receive a “my provider relationship request” from a provider you currently work with — simply review and respond.

  • If you have a statutory guardian or nominee, they will receive and approve the request on your behalf.

  • If you’re unsure or want help, SESI Care is here to support — but only if you want us to.

📅 When Does This Start?

This change begins on:
🗓 10 November 2025

⚠️ What If It’s Not Done?

If a provider is not confirmed as a “my provider” by 10 November 2025:

  • Their payments may go through extra NDIS integrity checks

  • Participants will be notified of each claim made from their plan

  • Payments might be delayed, which could affect service delivery
