What we can take on right now
Most providers will not tell you this until you have sent a referral and waited a week. Here is ours, reviewed fortnightly.
Last reviewed 4 September 2026. We review this page every fortnight. If it is out of date, that is a failure on our side and we would like to know about it.
Current numbers are being confirmed
We are not going to publish a capacity figure we have not checked. Call 1800 017 374 or send a referral and you will get the real answer for your participant, in one business day.
Why we publish this at all
Coordinators are judged on placements that hold. A provider who says yes and then cannot roster the shifts costs you more than one who says no in the first call, because you have already told the participant and the family that it is sorted. Publishing capacity is the cheapest way we can think of to stop wasting your time, and it costs us the occasional referral we would otherwise have accepted and struggled with. That trade is worth it.
What we need from you to answer quickly
- The participant’s suburb, and the days and times supports are needed
- Which supports, and roughly how many hours a week
- Plan management type: self, plan or NDIA managed
- Whether there are worker gender, language or cultural preferences
- Anything that affects who can safely be rostered, including behaviour support or manual handling needs
- Whether this is a new placement or replacing a provider who is exiting
With those six things we can usually tell you yes or no the same day rather than after a week of emails.
What we will not do
- Say yes to hold a referral and work out the roster later
- Accept a placement we cannot staff consistently, then backfill it with whoever is free
- Take supported independent living, accommodation-based supports, short term respite or plan management. We are not registered for the first three and we do not do the fourth
Common questions
How current is this page?
Last reviewed 4 September 2026. We review it fortnightly. If it looks out of date, call 1800 017 374 and ask, and tell us, because a stale capacity page is our problem to fix.
Can you take a short notice placement?
Sometimes, and it depends entirely on the shift pattern rather than on how urgent it is. A weekday daytime shift near our office is far more likely than an early morning personal care shift an hour away. Call and describe the actual roster and you will get an answer the same day.
What happens after I send a referral?
We acknowledge referrals within one business day. If we can cover it we will tell you what the roster would look like and who would be supporting the participant. If we cannot, we will say so rather than leaving it open.
Do you take NDIA-managed participants?
Yes. We are a registered provider, number 4050144347, so NDIA-managed, plan-managed and self-managed participants can all use us.
How do I test a capacity claim from any provider?
Ask three questions: how many workers do you have who live within twenty minutes of this participant, what is your current roster fill rate, and what happens to this shift when the allocated worker is unwell. Vague answers to those tell you more than a yes to "do you have capacity".
More for coordinators: how we work with you, our capability statement, and placing Core Supports in Melbourne’s south east.
